Size GuideThe MSF Basic Riders Course is a great way to learn how to ride a motorcycle, once you've decided to learn to ride. The MSF BRC consists of five hours of formal classroom activities + ten hours of riding instruction, conducted over a two-day period. Class runs from 8am-5pm both days.
Since Covid-19, we have limited classroom time and have all students complete the online portion (the MSF E-Course) prior to arriving on-site. Since then we have decided to keep it in place for two reasons: 1) I have yet to see anyone fail the online course, and 2) we can slow down and allow ample time over the two days to provide as much riding time as possible.
Successful completion of the BRC does serve as a license riding test waiver in Louisiana and multiple other states. However, this should be just the start to a lifelong path of riding safely and continuing with rider education programs. In other words: BRC completion does not guarantee your safety — it’s just the beginning!
Motorcycles are provided for your use during the course. Helmets are not provided, but if you are in a financial bind or waited too long to purchase yours, contact us to arrange using a loaner helmet for class.
Your MSF BRC completion card should earn you an insurance discount with your insurance company. If not, we suggest you shop around for one that rewards you for completion of the course.
Class size is limited! Sign up early to guarantee your spot.
If scheduling conflicts arise, please contact us ASAP so we can adjust class size and add you to another class date. If you simply do not show up for your scheduled class, you will not receive a refund. No adjustments/refunds after Monday of the week of class.
