Hot weather can be dangerous when you're not paying attention. Some signs of heat exhaustion include dizziness, headache, nausea, suddenly feeling too cold, change in heart rate. These symptoms signal that your body has tried to push through and needs you to takeaction.
Heat stress can impactΒ reaction time similarly to drinking alcohol.
Research has shown correlation between raised body temperature and impaired cognitive function in motorcyclists, dangerously impacting reaction times. By staying cool, you not only preserve your comfort and physical safety, but you are proactive in your performance and maintaining safe roads for others.
Don't burn out on your T-CLOCS routine:
βοΈ Check tire pressure. Temperature changes PSI faster than you think!
βοΈ Inspect chain tension and lubrication.
βοΈ Be sure fluids are topped off (and clean!), especially coolant.
